WARIMA seeks the services of an Organizational Development expert to assess the organisation’s effectiveness, and ability to achieve its deliver on its stated objectives, desired outcomes and goals efficiently and successfully. This exercise should assess how the organisation develops resources, how well it utilises its resources, reviews its structures and processes, engages its employees, and adapts to its environment to achieve optimal performance and desired results.
Scope of The Request For Proposal
Amongst other things the consultancy is expected to review the following:
Stakeholder engagement – How the organisation engages with its stakeholders in total to achieve effective delivery of services and function to each stakeholder community across West Africa.
Vision and Strategy: review the organisation’s vision, mission, and strategic direction. Ensure they provide clear alignment with the purpose and goals of the organisation. The strategy aligns with the mission and organisational demands across the entire West Africa sub-region.
Resource mobilisation and Utilisation: Review the organisation’s resource mobilisation and utilisation programme including financial, human, and technological resources, to support its operations and achieve desired outcomes.
Organisational Governance, Leadership and Structures: Review how the organisation is governed, leadership efficiency and structures. Look at the appropriateness of these structures and their efficiency. This is to ensure that WARIMA has strong leadership and consistently engaged structures that provide clear direction, inspires and motivates employees, and guides the organization towards its goals. Leaders foster a positive culture, establish effective communication channels, and promote collaboration and innovation.
Engaged Workforce: Look at current and past staff engaged on full-time or part-time bases. This is necessary to ensure that the organisation has an engaged workforce where employees, volunteers and executives are motivated, committed, and aligned with the organisation’s goals. Their engagement should create a positive work environment, encourage employee development and growth, recognize and reward achievements, and provide opportunities for meaningful work and career advancement.
Efficient Processes and Systems: look at operational systems and procedures to see to what extent they are designed and efficient. This is to ensure that systems and procedures are efficient to serve organisational strategy, aims and objectives but above all streamline workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and optimise operational efficiency. They continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Adaptability and Innovation: See the contextual environment of WARIMA and ensure the organisation is adaptable and can embrace change, respond to constituent demands and shifts, and respond to emerging trends, and technological advancements. Ensure we have an organisation that encourages innovation, embraces new ideas, and fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Performance Measurement and Evaluation: Look at and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure progress and assess the organisation’s performance. Ensure there is a transparent set of indicators to regularly evaluate organisational results against predefined targets and benchmarks, to facilitate data-driven decisions and course corrections.
Who Can Apply
Individual consultants or institutions with requisite knowledge and experience are invited to submit a proposal outlining their proposal, methodology, activities to be conducted, expected outputs, budgets and costs and details of consultants to be assigned to the project.
Expected Deliverables
Review and produce a report of findings.
Provide solid recommendations whose implementation will lead to the desired improved effectiveness of the Organisation.
Map out an implementation plan and framework for the organisation

The deadline for proposals is July 22, 2024. Completed applications should be submitted to the WARIMA General Secretary at this email address, warimaoffice@gmail.com. Applications will be reviewed by the WARIMA executive with the expectation that the consultancy shall commence on 1st September 2024.
