In an inspiring achievement for the research administration community, Nana Oye Akuffo has been inducted as a member of the Distinguished Faculty of the Society of Research Administrators International<\/u><\/a>\u00a0(SRAI). This prestigious honor is the highest academic recognition within the field, celebrating individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication to advancing the profession of research administration.<\/p>

Nana Oye Akuffo’s career has been marked by consistent excellence and a passion for fostering collaborations between institutions and researchers. \u201cI am honoured and humbled to receive this award, which reflects the collective efforts of many individuals who have supported me on this journey. Research administration has always been more than a career for me\u2014it is a calling to nurture scientific discovery, promote global collaboration, and empower others to excel,\u201d <\/i><\/em>she said.<\/p>

Her aspiration, she shared, is to foster more inclusive and accessible research environments where institutions from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) can thrive. \u201cThis award encourages me to continue working towards equitable access to research opportunities, and I hope it inspires others to pursue excellence in this field,\u201d<\/i><\/em>\u00a0she added.<\/p>

The Distinguished Faculty of SRAI consists of highly accomplished professionals recognised not only for their knowledge but for their ability to mentor others, develop best practices, and lead transformative initiatives in research administration.
