He also runs the\u00a0governing bodies for\u00a0TDR.\u00a0Dr Aslanyan manages the collaboration of TDR with six regional WHO offices and coordinates the ESSENCE on Health Research, an initiative of research funders. He previously worked as the principal health advisor and director in federal government for the Public Health Agency of Canada and Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa, Canada. In the past 20 years, Dr Aslanyan has taken on various roles that allowed him to lead various organizational and technical innovations and is a recognized leader in public health both in Canada and globally.
